Eagan Legal PLLC ("Eagan Legal," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information this website (eagan.legal) collects, how it is used, and your choices. It applies only to this website — not to any communications, engagement, or matter after you become a client, which are governed separately by our engagement letter and by the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct.
This site does not use cookies, does not run advertising trackers, does not sell or share your information, and does not load fonts, ads, or other resources from third-party providers — every asset on this page comes from our own server. The only data touching this site is (1) the standard technical logs any web server generates, (2) aggregate, non-personal visit counts if we've enabled privacy-friendly analytics, and (3) anything you choose to email us directly.
Information you provide. If you email us (including via the "Contact" links on this site, which open your own email application), we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to you and, if you become a client, to open and manage that engagement.
Information collected automatically. Like virtually all websites, ours is served through a hosting provider (Netlify) that automatically logs standard technical data for every visit — such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp — for security, fraud prevention, and operational purposes. We do not access this data for marketing purposes, and it is not tied to your identity beyond what the hosting provider retains in the ordinary course of operating its infrastructure. You can review Netlify's own privacy practices at netlify.com/privacy.
Analytics. If enabled, this site uses only privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visited a page. These tools do not use cookies or persistent identifiers, do not track you across other websites, and cannot identify you personally. No consent banner is required for this type of analytics because it does not constitute "tracking" under GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive, or U.S. state privacy laws.
This website does not set any cookies. Because no cookies or comparable tracking technologies are used, no cookie consent banner is required or displayed.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through this website or by email until Eagan Legal PLLC has confirmed an attorney-client relationship with you in writing. Submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information sent before an engagement is confirmed may not be treated as privileged.
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because this site does not use tracking cookies, there is nothing to opt out of. If you have questions about any information you've sent us directly by email, or would like it deleted, contact us using the information below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including if we add a new tool or feature that changes what data this site collects (for example, a contact form or a different analytics provider). The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update, and any change that introduces cookies or non-essential tracking will include a corresponding consent notice on the site.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
